Step

1. Decide if you'll be using the printer via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. Some printers offer both options, so choose one or the other.
2. Use the printer's user guide to find the network menu or settings on the printer. For HP printers, they're usually found under the 'Network' menu off the main page.
3. Select your installation type. Some printers offer Wi-Fi Protected Setup over a wireless network. If your network doesn't support this, choose the standard wireless setup wizard.
4. Follow any prompts, such as entering your wireless network password (if applicable). If you're installing via Bluetooth you'll choose to make the printer 'discoverable' so the computer can see it. You may see a pass code that will be used to pair the printer with the computer.
5. Launch the printer's installation CD in the computer. A setup wizard will begin to guide you through the rest of the installation. If you're using Bluetooth, you'll enter your pass code and the device will be automatically paired with the computer.
6. Print a test document after the installation wizard is complete. You should see your printer listed in the print dialog window. Your wireless printer is now installed.
