How to Reset the Toner Life in a Brother DCP

1. Open the front cover of your Brother DCP-8065DN copier/printer if you closed it after replacing the drum and toner cartridge.
2. Push the 'Clear/Back' button to access the 'Replace Drum?' menu and confirm a drum replacement and counter reset. Highlight '1. Drum' by pushing '1' on the keypad. Push 'OK' to select the option and reset the drum life counter.
3. Close the front cover securely after 'Accepted' appears on the screen. Press the 'Stop/Exit' button to return to the main display screen.
4. Access the '53. Parts Life' menu to confirm that you correctly reset the drum life counter. Push the 'Menu' button and then the numbers '5' and '3' on the keypad. Push '1' on the keypad to select '1. Drum' and 'OK' to select it.
5. Check that 'Remaining: 100%' --- or approximately 100 percent --- shows on the display. Once you've confirmed the rest, press the 'Stop/Exit' button to return to the main display screen.
