How to Replace the Waste Ink Pad on a Epson CX5400 Printer

1. Open the printer and locate the waste ink absorber near the ink cartridge.
2. Remove the absorber pad and hold it in cold water while squeezing the ink out. It would be wise to wear gloves while doing this, because the ink in the pad will leave stains.
3. Use paper towels to dry the waste ink absorber pad. Let it dry completely before installing it in the printer.
4. Reinstall the ink pad into the printer and run a test page to make sure it works.
