1. Power off the printer and the computer connected to it. Disconnect the printer USB cable from the computer.
2. Insert the USB cable from the printer into the corresponding port on the wireless print server adapter. Plug the RJ-45 Ethernet cable into the wireless print server. Plug the other end of the RJ-45 cable into a port on the wireless router.
3. Insert the AC adapter plug into the wireless print server. Plug the power cord into an available electrical outlet. Power on the printer first and then the wireless print server.
4. Insert the installation CD for the wireless print server into one of the computers connected to the wireless network. Wait for the 'Installation Wizard' or 'Setup Wizard' to appear on the screen.
5. Click the 'Install' or 'Setup' button on the screen to start the installation. Wait while the setup utility searches for the wireless print server device on the wireless network. After the setup utility finds the wireless print server on the network, click 'Next' or 'OK.'
6. Enter a descriptive name for the print server to make it easier to distinguish from other devices connected to the wireless network. If you host a web server on your wireless network, enter a domain name as well. Click the 'Next' or 'OK' button.
7. Click the 'Configure Print Driver' or 'Printer Driver' setup button. Wait for the utility to install the 'Printer Port' or 'Wireless Printer Port' and then click the 'OK' button on the confirmation screen.
8. Click and select the default 'Printer Port' or 'Wireless Printer Port' and then click 'Next' or 'OK.' Select the printer from the list of 'Connected Printers' or 'Existing Printers' and then click 'Connect' or 'OK.' The setup utility configures the printer as the default wireless printer on the network.
Connecting to Wireless Printer From Network Computers
1. Click 'Start' and then 'Printers and Devices.' Click the 'Add a Printer' button.
2. Click the 'Add a Network, Wireless or Bluetooth Printer' option.
3. Click and select the printer attached to the wireless print server adapter from the list of available printers. Click the 'Next' button.
4. Enter a descriptive name in the 'Printer Name' field or leave the default in place. Click the 'Next' button.
5. Click and enable the 'Set as the Default Printer' option. Click the 'Next' button.
