How to Print Labels with an Inkjet Printer (8 Steps)

1. Buy a sheet of labels. Take note of the manufacturer and product number.
2. Open your computer's word processing program and write the content that you want on your labels.
3. Use your software's tools to get to a label printing page. Once you have found this, you can use the options to set the manufacturer and product number of the labels you will be printing.
4. Add any extras to your label design, such as images or special graphics. Double check the content and save so that your work will not be lost.
5. Riffle the stack of labels before loading into your printer's tray. This ensures that none of the pages are sticking together.
6. Load the tray according to your printer's directions. Generally, you'll need to put the labels face down, but check first. If you're only printing one sheet of labels, place it on top of a couple sheets of plain paper to prevent alignment problems.
7. Double check your sheet alignment, adjusting the paper feed guide if necessary. Do one last print preview to make sure you are happy with the label content.
8. Hit print and wait for the inkjet printer to finish.
