How to Reset Toner in a 2170W Brother (4 Steps)

1. Turn your Brother 2170W laser printer on. Pull the front panel up to reveal the toner cartridge.
2. Pull the toner and drum assembly straight out of the Brother 2170W laser printer. Set the drum unit on a clean sheet of paper to avoid spilling toner on anything.
3. Press the green lever on the drum unit and pull the toner straight out. Shake the new cartridge to distribute the toner. Take the cover off of the toner. Insert the toner cartridge into the drum unit. The toner clicks when it is properly set.
4. Slide the green tab back and forth to clean the drum unit. Put the drum unit back into your 2170W Brother printer and shut the front cover.
