How to Clean an Epson R230 Head (5 Steps)

1. Press the printer's 'Power' button to turn it on and wait for it to finish its initialization procedures. Check the printer's 'Ink' light to make sure none of the ink cartridges are low or out of ink.
2. Open a document on your computer and click on the 'File' option at the top of the window. Click 'Print' in the menu, then select the R230 from the drop-down menu at the top of the window.
3. Click the 'Preferences' or 'Properties' button in the upper right corner of the window. Click the tab labeled 'Maintenance' and click the button labeled 'Head Cleaning.'
4. Choose which print heads you wish to clean by clicking on the appropriate radio buttons. Choose the cleaning level by clicking on the appropriate radio buttons.
5. Retrieve the print alignment sheet from the printer's output tray once the print head cleaning process is over.
