1. Pull out the paper trays from the printer one at a time by pulling the tray out until it stops and then carefully lifting it up. Lift the tray up and pull it free of the printer. Then set the tray aside on a table or other sturdy surface.
2. Reach inside the printer to feel the paper path rollers. Pull each of the rollers off of its prong and examine it. The rollers should have a rough texture--any smooth rollers will need to be replaced.
3. Use a clean cotton cloth to clean each roller. Dampen the cloth with isopropyl alcohol and wipe any accumulated dirt or paper dust off the roller. Set the roller aside until it is completely dry, then slide it back on to the prong and push until the roller locks into place.
4. Continue this process by cleaning each of the paper path rollers. Then replace the paper trays and send a test print to the printer.
