How to Install HP Photosmart C4480

1. Set the printer on a flat surface. Open the paper tray. Pull the print cartridge door open. Pull the packing material from inside the printer. Close the print cartridge door.
2. Attach the power cord to the back of the printer. Plug the opposite end into a power outlet. Push the power button to turn on the printer.
3. Press the arrow keys to navigate to the proper language and country settings, if prompted. Press 'OK' on the keypad to select the options. Open the print cartridge door to access the cartridge carrier.
4. Pull the protective tape from each cartridge. Insert the cartridges into the carrier, pushing them toward the back of the printer until they lock in place. Install the color cartridge on the left and the black cartridge on the right.
5. Close the print cartridge door and press 'OK' to confirm that you installed print cartridges. Insert paper into the paper tray. Place the software CD into your computer's CD-ROM drive. Follow the prompts to install the printer drivers.
6. Connect the USB cable to the USB port on the printer and an open USB port on the computer when the driver installation disc prompts. Click 'Finish' when the driver installation completes.
