How Do I Set Up My Laptop to Print Wirelessly?

1. Power on both your computer and wireless printer.
2. Navigate to 'Start.'
3. Press 'Printers & Faxes' on your PC, then click on 'File.' Depending on your version of Windows, you may have to access the 'Printers & Faxes' dialog through the control panel.
4. Click 'Add Printer' to run the printer wizard. Follow the instructions in the printer wizard to set up a connection between the laptop and the printer.
Using a Wireless Router With a Built-In Print Server
1. If you don't have a wireless printer, you can use a wireless router with a built-in print server. Connect the printer to the router through the USB cable. Power everything on.
2. Navigate to 'Start.'
3. Press 'Printers & Faxes' on your PC, then click on 'File.' Depending on your version of Windows, you may have to access the 'Printers & Faxes' dialog through the control panel.
4. Click 'Add Printer' to run the printer wizard. Follow the instructions in the printer wizard to set up a connection between the laptop and the printer.
Using a Wireless Router Without a Built-In Print Server
1. If you are using a printer with a wireless router that doesn't have a built-in print server, there are stand-alone print servers you can buy, but you must make sure that your particular printer is compatible with it.
