How to Use Pigment Ink Pads (7 Steps)

1. Take the cover off the pigment ink pad and set aside. Press the rubber stamp into the foam pad without heavy pressure to evenly apply the pigment.
2. Tap the inked stamp onto the card stock surface with even pressure for a good image.
3. Add embossing powder to the inked image and heat with a heat gun to create a raised stamp image.
4. Use an ink blending tool to create a soft, inked background by pressing the tool's foam onto a light-colored pigment ink pad.
5. Start at the edge of the card stock and move the ink blending tool from the edge towards the center of the card in a circular motion.
6. Press the ink blending tool on two or three progressively darker pigment ink pads and blend the pigment inks layer-by-layer, using the same circular motion on the card stock.
7. Squeeze a few drops of pigment ink from a bottle of pigment ink refill onto the ink pad foam to refresh the ink as needed. Replace the ink pad cover for storage.
