How to Make a Dell Photo All

1. Plug the USB cable from the Dell 966 printer into an open port on the wireless print server. Don't plug the print server in yet.
2. Connect an Ethernet network cable from the wireless print server to any open port on your wireless router. This is a temporary connection to set up the configuration.
3. Insert the provided power cable into the wireless print server and plug it into a wall outlet or power strip. Wait for the print server to power up; the power light will turn solid when it's ready.
4. Put the printer server's installation disc into the computer. The installation wizard will automatically begin.
5. Follow the prompts in the installation wizard to configure your print server. You'll need to enter the WEP or WPA password you established when you set up your wireless router.
6. Name your print server and choose to either obtain an IP address automatically or enter a fixed IP address. Your choice will depend on how you set up your wireless router. If in doubt, choose 'Obtain IP address automatically.' These settings may be on separate screens, depending on your manufacturer's installation wizard.
7. Choose your network type and enter your SSID (network name). These settings are the same ones you established with your wireless router. Refer to your router settings.
8. Install the print server driver when prompted and follow the driver installation wizard instructions. You'll be prompted to configure and set up the driver; follow the prompts. The process will vary slightly from manufacturer to manufacturer.
9. Disconnect the Ethernet cable and open a document to try a test print. Go to 'File,' then 'Print.' Your print server will appear in the list of available printers. Choose it and print.
10. Run the installation CD on any other network computers that will print to the server. The computers will need the driver software installed in order to send print jobs to the print server.
