How to Create Vinyl Printable Stickers for a Wall

1. Find or create an image you like using an illustration, photograph, or other graphics software program.
2. Size the image so it will fit on the vinyl you have.
3. Place a piece of paper in your printer. Mark one side of the paper with a pen or pencil. Print a test run image on the regular paper to see which way your paper feeds into the printer. Load your printer with vinyl 'paper.'
4. Let the printed vinyl image sit for at least three or four minutes after printing to give the ink time to dry. Place the vinyl sheet on a flat surface, such as a table.
5. Run your hand over the image until it lays flat. Use a utility knife or paper cutter to cut the vinyl down until only the image remains.
6. Peel off a corner of the backing on the vinyl. Place the sticky side of the vinyl against the wall. Slowly apply the entire decal to the wall, smoothing the surface of the vinyl as you work.
