How to Scan to PaperPort Without Prompts

1. Download the newest version of your scanner's driver from the manufacturer's website and install it using the manufacturer's instructions. If there are no instructions, follow the standard procedure for updating a device driver in Windows.
2. Click 'Start,' type 'Device Manager' and press 'Enter.'
3. Click the '+' icon next to 'Imaging Devices.'
4. Right-click your scanner and choose 'Update Driver Software.'
5. Click 'Browse My Computer for Driver Software,' locate the new driver you downloaded and click 'Next.'
6. Click 'Close' when Windows finishes installing the driver.
7. Try to scan a multi-page document.
Enable ADF
1. Select the profile that you are using from the 'Scan' or 'Get Photo' pane of the PaperPort window.
2. Click 'Settings' and select the 'Scan' tab.
3. Select 'ADF' under the 'Source' option menu and click 'OK.'
4. Try to scan a multi-page document.
Use the Scanner Setup Wizard
1. Click 'Select' on the 'Scan' pane in PaperPort, click 'Available Scanners' and select 'Advanced Setup.'
2. Click 'Yes' and select 'Next' for the next two prompts.
3. Choose 'Basic Scan Test (Recommended)' and 'Check ADF Capabilities' from the list of available tests.
4. Click 'Next,' then click 'Next' again when the scanning interface appears.
5. Check to make sure that the Scanner Setup Wizard detected the correct type of ADF scanner and click 'Next.'
6. Insert a multiple-page document into the ADF's paper feed and click 'Next.'
7. Remove the pages when prompted, click 'Next' twice and click 'Finish' to close the wizard.
Hide the Native Interface
1. Open PaperPort and uncheck 'Display Scanner Dialog Box' from the 'Scan' pane. If this checkbox is not present, use the Scanner Setup Wizard to disable the interface:
2. Click 'Scan or Get Photo,' click 'Select' and choose 'Advanced Setup.'
3. Select 'No' for the first prompt, select 'Yes' for the second prompt and click 'Next.'
4. Click 'Advanced Settings,' select 'Hide Native User-Interface [Recommended]' and click 'OK.'
5. Click 'Next' and 'Finish' to exit, then try scanning a multi-page document.
Add a Hint
1. Click the 'Scan or Get Photo' pane in PaperPort.
2. Click 'Setup,' select 'No' and click 'Next.'
3. Uncheck the boxes to test the device and click 'Hint Editor.'
4. Click 'Edit Hints,' locate one of the following hints and click 'Add' to copy it to the right pane:WIAPENDINGXFERSPENDINGXFERS
5. Click the new entry and choose 'Modify Hint.'
6. Select 'No' from the drop-down menu and click 'OK' three times.
7. Click 'Next,' 'OK' and 'Finish' to exit the wizard.
