How to Control Access to My Wireless (10 Steps)

1. Click on the 'Start' button. Then select the Control Panel, or click 'Settings' and then select 'Control Panel' if necessary.
2. Find the 'Network Connections' button and double-click it. Click on the 'Wireless' network connection icon.
3. Click the 'Properties' button on the next window that appears. Make sure the two boxes at the bottom of the window are checked. Then click the 'OK' button.
4. Click on the 'Wireless Networks' tab. Make sure the box at the top of the window is checked. Then click the 'OK' button.

1. Go to home-network-help.com. Click on the 'DD-WRT' icon. Scroll down and click on the blue colored 'DD-WRT Shop' button.
2. Look through the software drives offered until you find one that suits your needs, then purchase the drive.
3. Hook up the drive with your wireless router. Your are now ready to personalize your wireless network settings and keep your wireless connection all to yourself.
Network Magic
1. Visit purenetworks.com and download the free trial version of Network Magic 5.5. This program allows the user to configure and manage multiple wireless connections, keeping track of who uses your wireless connection and when they're using it. Network Magic also allows users to create their own passwords, which will be required to access the wireless connection. Remote desktop tracking capabilities are also included.
2. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up your Network Magic profile, which includes all of your specific settings for your Internet connection.
3. Click on the 'Finish' button. You are now done and can use your Internet service without all of those freeloaders.
