How to Tell How Much Ink Is Left in a Hewlett Packard Color Inkjet

1. Click on the “Start” button located on the bottom left hand corner of your computer desktop screen.
2. Click on the “Control Panel” icon in the resulting Options menu.
3. Double click on the “Printers and Other Hardware” icon in the Control Panel screen (it should be a printer icon.)
4. Click on the “View Installed Printers or Fax Printers” option in the Printers and Other Hardware menu screen.
5. Locate the icon for your Hewlett Packard color inkjet printer and right click on the icon.
6. Click the “Preferences” option.
7. Click on the “Services” tab on top of the menu dialog box.
8. Click the “Service this Device” option. You will see the button on the services menu that was just activated.
9. Click the “Estimated Ink Level” tab. The level of ink remaining in the printer cartridge will display via a graphic.
