1. Unplug the Samsung printer.
2. Open the printer hatch by grasping the edge firmly and pulling it away from the printer. On models with fax capabilities, this is probably also the control panel portion of the machine.
3. Remove the white roller that is directly beneath the printer hatch. Push in the tab that is located to the right of the roller and turn it towards the front of the printer. Lift the roller to remove it from the printer housing.
4. Grasp the end of the roller with one hand and wipe the surface with the soft, damp cloth.
5. Wipe the rubber piece that is located on the underside of the printer hatch with the soft, damp cloth.
6. Wash the glass scanning surface, if your model is equipped with this feature. Wipe with the soft, damp cloth and dry using the soft, dry cloth.
7. Replace the white roller by reversing Step 3 and shut the printer hatch.
Samsung Laser Models
1. Turn off the Samsung laser printer and allow several hours for the internal components to cool sufficiently.
2. Protect yourself and your work area from the toner. Put on the dust mask and latex gloves. Lay newspapers or several layers of paper towels on your work surface and the surrounding floor.
3. Open the front of your Samsung printer and locate and remove the toner cartridge. Grasp the end of the toner cartridge, pushing and releasing any locking components. Pull the cartridge away from the printer housing, grasping it by the ends.
4. Stretch the toner cloth to activate the static action. Wipe the toner cartridge gently to remove any stray particles. Set the toner cartridge on a clean sheet of newspaper or another activated toner cloth.
5. Vacuum the internal housing of the printer very gently with the toner vacuum cleaner. Exercise caution, do not apply pressure and avoid any delicate parts that could break.
6. Dip a cotton swab in a bottle of isopropyl alcohol. Gently wipe the cotton swab on any exposed wires to remove dust. Do apply pressure.
7. Leave the printer open, allowing the parts to dry completely.
8. Replace the toner cartridge by reversing Step 3 and close the access door to the printer.
