How to Clean Kodak 5300 Printhead (9 Steps)

1. Open the AiO Home Center application on your computer. This application is included on the installation disk of your Kodak 5300 printer. You may need to double-click on the AiO Home Center icon on your desktop or click the Start menu and locate the application under 'All Programs.'
2. Click the blue box with a question mark on it on the AiO Home Center start page. This opens the help menu.
3. Click on the 'General Links' heading to open a drop-down menu.
4. Select 'Maintenance' on the drop-down menu.
5. Click on the button called 'Printhead Cleaning.' The cleaning cycle will begin.
Clean the Printhead Using the Printer
1. Press the 'Menu' button on the Kodak 5300 printer control panel. The control panel is located on the top-right side of the printer and the 'Menu' button is located to the left of the directional buttons.
2. Press the down directional button to scroll through the menu options on the printer's LCD screen until the words 'Clean Printhead' appear.
3. Press the OK button, located in the center of the directional buttons.
4. Press OK again to start the basic cleaning cycle. You can also press the down directional button once to select the deep-cleaning cycle and then press 'OK' to begin the cycle.
