1. Flip the power switch to 'Off.'
2. Press and hold the 'Go' or 'Online' button.
3. Flip the power switch to 'On' while continuing to hold the 'Go' or 'Online' button.
4. Release the button. You have now reset an older HP LaserJet.
Newer Models (2300, 2400, 4200, 4250/4350, 4300)
1. Flip the power switch to 'Off,' then to 'On.'
2. Press and hold the 'Check Mark' button when the display shows the printer is performing its memory count.
3. Release the button when the printer's LED lights stay lit.
4. Press the 'Up/Down' arrow keys until you locate 'Cold Reset.'
5. Press the 'Check Mark' button to reset the LaserJet.
