How to Reset the Toner Chip for a P1005

1. Turn off the HP P1005. Press the 'Go' button on the printer and hold it down.
2. Turn the HP P1005 on while still pressing the 'Go' button. Watch for the display to read 'Cold Reset.' If there is no display, all the lights should be red.
3. Stop pressing the 'Go' button. The display should read 'Initializing,' 'Restoring,' 'Offline.' The lights should go forward to backward and then stop.
4. Press the 'Go' button one more time to restore the printer to its normal functions.
