How to Send Receive a Fax for Free Over the Internet

1. Direct your browser to an online faxing service. FaxZero is a useful and simple service that allows you to send a maximum of two free faxes no larger then three pages to anywhere in the United States. However they attach an ad at the beginning of the free fax. They also offer a paid service for $1.99 per fax that will remove the add. GotFreeFax is useful for someone who wants to send between the U.S. and Canada, and it also boasts no cover page ad. With two faxes a day with a three-page maximum, GotFreeFax is useful for a person who just wants to send a few small documents.Myfax is a great service for people who would like to fax anywhere in the world. It supports 41 countries for faxing to and will allow you to fax a file no more then 10 Megabytes or 10 pages. See resources for links.
2. Enter the name, country (if applicable) and fax number of the person you want to fax into the To column. Make sure to enter a valid email address in the From column so the program can send a conformation email to your inbox.
3. Choose a file you want to fax. Under Fax Message click 'Choose a File' and select the document or PDF you wish to fax. Click 'Send Fax' and your fax will be sent to the phone number you entered.
Recieve a Free fax
1. Pick a service. Some services online will receive faxes for you from a proxy phone number and send the document to your email. Many of these services charge a signup fee or a monthly fee. There are, however, a couple that are 100 percent free.
2. Sign up for eFax Free. Efax free is a program run by the online fax company eFax. It can be tricky to find the free service on its web page, but a quick web search finds the link easily. To sign up for eFax free, simply go to the link and enter your name, email address, phone number, location and ZIP code. Once you have entered the information, click 'Start Faxing' and you will receive an email in your inbox with a personalized fax number. 3. Sign up for FaxBetter. FaxBetter is a free service that allows people to send and receive faxes online. To sign up for FaxBetter, all you have to do is enter a valid email account and create a password, then click 'Get My Free Fax Number.' The nice thing about FaxBetter is it doesn't ask for a lot of your information in order to get your new online fax number. FaxBetter will send you an email with your account information and a new personal fax number. Any fax sent to the number you receive will be dropped in your FaxBetter inbox for download.
