How to Reset a Kensington Lock (7 Steps)

1. Rotate the combination wheels to your current combination.
2. Locate the reset button on the end of the combination lock's body. It has the Kensington logo of a small picture of a padlock with a 'K' inside.
3. Press and hold the reset button.
4. Set your new combination by moving the wheels to the numbers you desire. Do not release the reset button while moving the wheels—this will lead to a random combination being set.
5. Release the reset button.
6. Write the combination on a piece of paper to keep from forgetting it.
7. Enter the combination by moving the numbers on the combination wheels to test the lock.
