1. Turn off the HP printer by pressing and holding the 'power' button.
2. Turn the HP printer back on by pressing the power button and allowing it to run through its setup procedure.
3. Install the refilled ink cartridge by opening the access door on the HP printer.
4. Click 'Ignore' on the two dialog boxes that appear on the computer screen, warning about printing with empty ink cartridges.
5. Click on your computer's 'Start' menu, then click 'Control Panel' and 'Printers.' Select the HP printer that is connected to your computer and click on 'Preferences' before clicking on the 'Maintenance' window. Disable the ink level monitor and click 'OK.'
