How to Change the Ink in a Brother IntelliFAX

1. Lay out a piece of scratch paper on a surface near the device. Open the front cover of the device, revealing the print cartridge assembly inside.
2. Pull the print cartridge assembly out, being careful to hold it level. Place the assembly on top of the scratch paper.
3. Press down on the plastic lever on the right side of the assembly. Pull the toner cartridge free of the drum assembly.
4. Remove the new toner cartridge from its bag and place the old cartridge inside. Lightly shake the new cartridge from side to side five or six times. This will distribute the ink within the cartridge.
5. Insert the new toner cartridge into the drum assembly so you hear a snap. The plastic lever on the side of the assembly will pop back up.
6. Slide the blue tab on the top of the assembly back and forth several times. This action cleans the primary corona wire. Slide the assembly back into the printer and close the front cover.
