How to Troubleshoot the Canon Pixma MP620

1. Restart your PIXMA photo printer. Sometimes a simple restart can help troubleshoot connection issues.
2. Fix the error message 'The Target Access Point is not detected' by clicking the 'Update' button in the 'Access Points' dialog box.
3. Check the USB cable connection during setup process. Make sure the USB cable is connected securely to the port on the back of your printer.
4. Disable Windows Firewall to make sure it doesn't prevent your computer from connecting to the wireless printer. Click the Start menu and type 'Windows Firewall' (without the quotes). Press 'Enter' key. Click 'Turn Windows Firewall on or off.' Choose 'Off.' Click 'Apply.' Make sure to turn the firewall service back on after you are done using the wireless printer.
5. Reset LAN settings if none of the above steps resolve the problem. Use the arrow buttons on your printer to choose 'Settings' on the display screen. Press 'OK.' Select 'Device Settings' and press 'OK.' Select 'LAN Settings' and press 'OK.' Select 'Reset LAN Settings' and press 'OK.' Select 'Yes' to confirm and press 'OK.'
