1. Choose a printer that's up to the task. Many color laser printers can't handle heavy weight paper, so if you're out shopping for printers, you might want to consider an ink jet printer. See the Resources section below for samples of ink jet printers that can print heavy weight paper.
2. Outsource the job. If you're not willing (or able) to purchase a new printer, you can visit a local printer or office supply store to see how much they charge to print your document on heavy weight paper. You might find that this is a much more cost-effective option than trying to muddle through the project yourself.
3. Load one sheet at a time. If your printer should be able to handle the job but keeps jamming, loading (and printing) one sheet at a time could stop the printer from inadvertently grabbing more than one sheet of heavy weight paper at once and therefore causing a paper jam.
