1. Close Microsoft Word and click 'Start' on your Windows desktop.
2. Input 'Normal.dotm' into the search bar.
3. Right-click any instances of 'Normal.dotm' and select 'Rename.'
4. Input 'Normal.old' as the new name and press 'Enter.'
5. Open a new Microsoft Word document and input a string of text to test the printer. Click 'Print' to test if it works.
Reinstall Printer Driver
1. Click 'Start' and select 'Control Panel.'
2. Click on 'Hardware and Sound.' Click 'Printers.'
3. Locate the HP 3600 Deskjet and right-click it. Select 'Delete.' Now unplug the USB connection cable from your printer and restart your computer.
4. After the computer has rebooted completely, plug your printer's USB back into the computer and reenter the 'Printers' section of the control panel.
5. Click on 'Add a printer.' This starts the 'Add Printer Wizard.'
6. Click on 'Add a local printer' and select 'Use an existing port.' Now click on 'Next.'
7. Select the manufacturer and model of the printer from the list. Click on 'Next', then follow the on-screen prompts. Click 'Finish.'
8. Open a new Microsoft Word document and input a string of text to test the printer. Click on 'Print' to test if it works.
Delete Word Data Key
1. Close Microsoft Word and click 'Start' on your Windows desktop.
2. Click 'Run' and input 'regedit'. Click 'OK.'
3. Navigate to the 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Word\ ' registry key using the '+' and '-' icons in the left pane.
4. Right-click the 'Data' key in the pane on the right and select 'Delete.' Click 'Yes' to confirm the deletion.
5. Exit the registry editor and restart your computer.
6. Open a new Microsoft Word document and input a string of text to test the printer. Click on 'Print' to test it.
