How to Open a Canon MP620 to Replace the Ink

1. Press the 'Power' button on your printer to turn it on.
2. Open the paper output tray on the front of the unit. This is the tray the finished prints are ejected on to.
3. Lift the plastic cover that holds the scanner tray up until it locks into place. The print head that holds the ink tanks will automatically slide out into position.
4. Pull out the spent ink tank, wrap it in a plastic bag to prevent leaks and set it aside.
5. Unwrap your replacement tank. Pull the orange sticker off the tank. Press down the button on the orange protective cap and twist it counter-clockwise to remove it.
6. Slide the ink tank into the appropriate slot in the print head. Press the ink tank down where it is marked 'Push.' It will click into place. Close the lid to complete the process.
