How to Recycle Remanufactured Toner Cartridges

1. Check the inside of the box containing the new toner cartridge. Some brands of remanufactured toner do include a prepaid return label so you can send the used one back for recycling.
2. Contact your local office supply store to see if they have a toner recycling program in place. Many office supply stores take used toner cartridges in bulk for recycling. Some libraries and community centers also accept used toner cartridges, so check these resources as well.
3. Log on to the manufacturer of the remanufactured toner cartridge and search for the word 'recycling.' Some manufacturers of after-market toner, including Imation, offer recycling programs.
4. Contact the manufacturer of your printer to see if they have a recycling program in place. The best way to check is to log on to the company's website and search for 'recycling' or 'environmental.' Some printer manufacturers accept only their toner while others accept remanufactured toner cartridges as well.
