How to Change Ink in HP 8500 Printers (6 Steps)

1. Turn on your HP 8500 printer.
2. Flip down the ink compartment door on the left side of the machine.
3. Grasp the first ink cartridge that you need to change and pull it toward you from the compartment. Set it aside for disposal.
4. Open the new ink cartridge packaging and remove the cartridge. Align and slide it into its corresponding empty, color-coded compartment slot, and press it down securely in position.
5. Repeat this procedure with one or more of the other cartridges if necessary.
6. Lift up and close the door.
