1. Click “Start” and then right-click “Computer.” Click “Properties” on the pop-up menu.
2. Click the “Device Manager” link on the left side of the new window.
3. Double-click the “Ports” sub-heading in “Device Manger.” Highlight a USB port that includes “DOT 4” as part of the device description. Right-click on the port devices name, and then click “Uninstall” on the pop-up menu.
4. Uninstall other existing “DOT4” ports using the same method.
5. Restart the computer and log in to Windows. Reinstall the driver software that came with your printer. The printer now functions properly in Windows.
