How to Find My Security String to Connect My Kodak Printer

1. Press the 'Windows' key and 'R' simultaneously. This launches the 'Run' command.
2. Type 'cmd' and press 'Enter.' Type 'ipconfig' and press 'Enter.'
3. Make a note of the 'Default Gateway.' This will typically be '192.168.0.1' or '192.168.1.1.' Close the command prompt.
4. Launch your Internet browser and enter your default gateway address into the address bar. Press 'Enter.' You will be prompted to enter the user name and password for the router access. If you do not know this check the 'Default password List' online (see Resources) or consult your router's documentation. Log in. This will launch your router's admin pages.
5. Browse through the pages until you find the 'Wireless security' section. Wording will vary depending on your router. Some phrases that will feature on the page will be 'Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP)' and 'Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA).' There will be two password fields on the page. Some routers will display the default wireless password here. If they do not set the wireless key to something you want to use. Click 'Apply.' You can now enter, either the existing or the new, security string during your Kodak printer setup.
