How to Override the Low Level Ink Status on a Canon Printer

1. Open the printer's ink cartridge access door and install a refilled cartridge. Begin printing until you see an error message appear on the computer's screen.
2. Click the 'OK' button at the bottom of the message stating that the printer's software cannot detect the amount of ink inside the refilled cartridge.
3. Click the 'Yes' button at the bottom of the next message window. You are acknowledging that damage can result from using a refilled cartridge and that the software will no longer be able to detect the ink levels.
4. Click the 'Yes' button on the next screen, acknowledging that Canon will not be responsible for any damage done to the printer by the refilled cartridge.
5. Hold down the 'Resume' or 'OK' button on the printer for five seconds or more until the message disappears. If your printer has neither button, hold down the button that is flashing until it stops.
