1. Align the pins on the chip resetter with the metal contacts on the Epson ink cartridge. Since the pins are aligned in two rows, one of four pins and one of three, there is only one way to align the pins. If your Epson cartridge has nine contacts, align the four top contacts and the three bottom contacts with the pins on the resetter, since the far right and left contacts are not needed.
2. Press the Epson cartridge into the resetter so that the pins are depressed. The light on the chip resetter will start flashing.
3. Wait for the light to turn a solid green; remove the cartridge from the resetter. The Epson ink cartridge is now reset.
